Kate is an Associate Partner in our Government Sector practice having been attracted to the sector as a result of the work the State and Federal government departments and agencies do for the greater good of the community. The variety of roles required by Government clients, along with the fast pace of change that the sector is experiencing, form part of the reasons Kate stays engaged and challenged in her role. She loves nothing more than managing a search which culminates with the client spoiled for choice with a shortlist of highly qualified candidates who are not only technically capable of doing the job, but are also the right fit for the client’s culture and for the role itself. Achieving this is, amongst other things, her understanding of the Public Sector selection processes including a deep understanding of the focus capabilities under the Public Sector Capability Frameworks and the principles of merit-based selection, including process, probity and reporting requirements.
