For the past 9 years, Alex has been recruiting across the Design and Construction industries in Australia and New Zealand. He has worked with in excess of 200 clients and has placed candidates from entry level to director level. These placements have been a combination of contract, permanent and retained searches. He hails from Portsmouth in the UK and is quintessentially British at heart. He loves his morning cup of Yorkshire tea, and equally his evening pint of lager and has absolutely no issue with queuing or the light rain most commonly known as drizzle. Alex is an Associate Director, working acropss the Architecture, Interior Design and Design Engineering Teams. Alex uses refined communication skills to understand his clients, their businesses and business needs. He believes in leading a collaborative team that works to support each other with transparency. Every day the Division holds a morning meeting where it comes together to discuss both live roles and active candidates and how the two can be brought together. He likes to keep updated with market trends, technology advances and has a deep rooted passion for successful delivery of the industries very best candidates.. In a holistic sense, he believes in matching the most suitable candidates to the most relevant and suitable clients and meeting both parties expectations. He is a strong believer in professional integrity and ethical working practices. He has a proven track record of placing the right candidates with the right companies, meeting both client and candidate expectations. Outside of work, he loves to socialise with friends, has an interest in Street Art and how artists use Art within an Urban Design yet with no discernible artistic skill himself. He dislikes people that make sweeping generalisations about culture, race, class and age etc. as he feels that this eliminates any space for individualism.
