Biography
Mr. Otto has worked with a wide variety of tax-exempt and for-profit organizations over his career in project management, technical expert, and relationship management roles. He has assisted in all aspects of compensation-related projects, as well as overseeing other human-resource projects involving benefits, performance management, and transaction-driven services Mr. Otto's work has supported organizations in their efforts to use their executive compensation programs to achieve key strategic and operational initiatives. Mr. Otto has worked in executive compensation for 30 years, and is an expert in developing or modifying compensation philosophies, assisting with reviewing compensation programs, reviewing and designing annual and long-term incentive plans, developing supplemental deferred compensation/retirement plans and executive-level benefits and severance arrangements, and reviewing and drafting employment agreement provisions related to the compensation package for executives. Mr. Otto currently focuses his work on tax-exempt healthcare and non-healthcare organizations, and has experience working with for-profit companies as well (both privately-held and publicly-traded). Mr. Otto holds a bachelor of arts from Dartmouth College and a juris doctor from the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University. He is a member of WorldatWork, the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Tax Section of the ABA, and the American Health Lawyers Association. Mr. Otto is a Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP) and licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio.
