Stephen Gilman is a partner in the Firm’s Boston, Massachusetts office. He has more than 33 years of experience in public accounting serving closely held businesses in the areas of accounting, taxation, and business planning. Mr. Gilman’s focus is in residential and commercial real estate including business and tax planning for partnerships, corporations and individuals. He also has experience with residential property management software and its implementation. Mr. Gilman gets deeply involved in entity formation and structure, code section 1031 tax free exchanges, cost segregation studies, and analyzing fixed asset additions and repairs. He also assists high net worth individuals with trust, gift and estate planning. Prior to joining Marcum, Mr. Gilman was a partner in a large regional accounting firm in New England.
