Alex Zhang is a member of the firm’s Leadership and Succession team. Alex’s areas of expertise includes executive assessment and leadership development. He has in-depth experience with psychometric and cognitive instruments as well as competency-based assessment tools, and he is an expert in the Hogan suite of tools. Alex provides value-added services to clients across Greater China, particularly helping companies identify, select, and grow leaders who will thrive and succeed over the long term, providing insights on senior leadership talent specific to markets and industries on an ongoing basis. He is based in Beijing. Before joining the firm, Alex spent over seven years at career management and talent development firm Right Management as a VP and talent management practice leader. Prior to that, he was a senior consultant at Development Dimensions International and the Siemens Management Institute. Earlier, Alex was a wealth management consultant at HSBC Australia and a regional manager for southern China at Heineken HK Ltd. Before that, he worked at Shell China Ltd. in roles including marketing executive and regional key account manager. Alex holds a BA in linguistics from the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and an MBA from the University of Technology Sydney. He also sits in the Board of Asia Association of Test Publishers since 2016.
