At the age of 31, Xavier Mezquita decided to create his own vision of what a recruitment agency should be: Mezquita as a recruitment company was born. Mezquita became Signium and after 25 years, Signium Belgium is one of the most outstanding Belgian recruitment companies for middle management, C-suite and specialist profiles. Since 2012, Signium Belgium also offers services in Leadership Consulting: assessment, outplacement, leadership efficiency, 360 feedback, and talent management. Xavier and the Signium Belgium staff organize and host several yearly events that bring CEO’s and HR-management together, founded on long-lasting relations with clients. After earning a Marketing-Distribution degree, Xavier chose to optimize his academic background with a variety of evening classes (Sciences Economiques Appliquées at Fucam Mons, Communication and Advertising in Liège). His professional career started in 1985 as a salesman for an Insurance company. On several occasions during his early career he met with recruitment boutiques and always felt that the quality in the handling and screening of candidates could be improved. Now a recruiter himself, he is able to deliver at the highest standards. Xavier is a proud father of 3 children. He is a native French speaker but also expresses himself in Dutch, English, and Spanish. He is passionate about music, race cars and read almost one book a week.
