David Shpiz is a Managing Partner of Bespoke Partners and heads up the Leadership Advisory practice. David has more than 20 years’ experience in consulting and operating roles. He serves as a close advisor to private equity investors, boards, and C-level executives. David specializes in pre-investment organizational due diligence, talent assessment and development, and executive coaching for Bespoke’s clients. He brings a balanced mindset of commercial and psychological acumen to the clients he serves. Prior to Bespoke, David was most recently a Senior Vice President of Leadership Advisory for a boutique management consulting firm where he advised private equity investors and executive leaders on their most pressing human capital challenges. Earlier in his career, he worked for Heidrick & Struggles in the private equity/venture capital practice. Additional experience includes working as an equity research analyst in the Communications Software sector with Thomas Weisel Partners. Outside of work, his favorite things to do in his free time are coaching his three kids in various sports, skiing, playing golf, and chasing the sunshine on the beach or a trail run with his wife. He also has the good fortune of rooting for all Boston sports teams. David holds a BA in History from Rollins College and an MBA, Organizational Behavior, from Pepperdine University, The Graziadio School of Business. He is part of Columbia University’s ICI Coaching program. David is a guest lecturer at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
