Jaap den Hartog is a Principal at Pedersen & Partners, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Mr. Den Hartog brings to the firm 25 years of in-depth Executive Search expertise, mainly focusing on Life Sciences. Over the course of his career, Mr. Den Hartog has completed numerous cross-border C-level, executive and management team assignments in Medical, Pharmacovigilance, Biostatistics, Commercial, Regulatory, Production, and Quality Affairs for both biotech start-ups as well as medium and large corporations. Additionally, as an executive coach, Mr. Den Hartog has supported many young entrepreneurs in launching their start-ups. Before entering Executive Search, he held several commercial and general management positions in the Diagnostic, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Instrument industries. Prior to joining Pedersen & Partners, Mr. Den Hartog owned and managed an Executive Search boutique dedicated to Healthcare Services, Life Sciences and Biotechnology. Mr. Den Hartog holds an MSc in clinical and biochemistry from Utrecht University and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management Erasmus. He also contributed to a study on the hormone Erytropoietin at the Clinical Research Centre of the University of London/Harrow. Mr. Den Hartog can speak fluent Dutch and English and can communicate in German and French.
