Abhinav has over18 years of work experience in Private Wealth & Consumer banking. He has been tasked to lead the Private banking vertical and is based in Mumbai. Most of his working life has been spent at Citibank where he worked for 12 years. His last role in the industry was that of an EVP & Senior Partner in Yes Private the private banking arm of Yes Bank. He has also had a stint with Centrum Wealth as the National Head for New Client Acquisitions. He has interacted closely with the leadership teams in most of the companies. He has seen the Private Wealth industry grow since 2008 when many of his colleagues from Citibank left in a staggered manner to join various firms in the segment. He has an in-depth understanding of the business models followed by different players. He believes the Private banking space needs a specific kind of leadership which is semi entrepreneurial yet committed to the franchise. Growth of technology, consolidation in the industry through M&A and enlargement of the IFA segment are other areas which Abhinav likes to closely observe. He is a graduate from the Delhi University and an MBA from University of South Wales UK. He is a fitness enthusiast and an avid golfer.
