Biography
Chris works across our public sector business, particularly with central government agencies and departments. Chris regularly coaches leaders and leadership teams, often when they are at points where they want to drive transformation or improve performance. He has recently worked with senior leaders from HM Revenue and Customs, the Department for Work and Pensions and Department for Education. He has also coached leaders and leadership teams in the police and wider criminal justice system, and in universities. Chris also leads and delivers development programmes for leaders, promoting enterprise leadership and customer-centric behaviour for senior leaders. Recent work in this space includes developing and delivering a major programme for the top three leadership tiers at HM Revenue and Customs, and a whole-department leadership development offer for the senior civil service of the Department for Work and Pensions. Chris specialises in working with public sector organisations, coverting policy aims into practical programmes of change, improving strategic alignment across organisations, and leading work to support lasting culture change. His coaching emphasies the importance of using real work challenges as a vehicle for transforming behaviour, as well as a focus on building compelling purpose and finding the best way to get the most from teams. Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Chris led the transformation practice at Tribal Group, and was a policy advisor at the Ministry of Defence. Chris has a first-class honours degree in Ancient and Modern History from the University of Oxford. He is a governor of a large London primary school, and Trustee of a youth charity based in south London.
