Biography
Tim Kamphorst (1960) graduated in 1986 from the Law Faculty of Tilburg University. After various management positions (Internal Audit, Project Management and Operations) he entered the world of pension funds. As Director GUO Fondsenbeheer, Tim realized, among other things, the integration of three separate pension companies. As a member of the Advisory Board of the Association of Industrial Pension Funds, he also led the negotiations in the context of the demarcation of tasks between insurers and pension funds. In 1999, Tim Hey started Day Interim Management, part of Corinthe Companies, and contributed to the further development of the company as a consultant and director. In 2007 Tim switched to Syntrus Achmea as Director of Pensions. Tim decided to return to his old profession in 2010 and co-founded The Executive Network. For more than 10 years now, he has been active in supporting pension funds and sector organizations in selecting suitable chairmen, directors and board members. In all those search assignments, he pays extra attention to the diversity of the teams to be put together.
Tim is a relationship person who likes to connect people and share knowledge with them. After all, knowledge sharing forms an important basis for progress. He enjoys conversations that provoke thought and give interlocutors new ideas. Service is in his genes. The personal conversation and bringing the right people together, the basis of his daily actions, are the most important source of energy in his life.
