Biography
Rebecca spearheads a diverse portfolio of executive leadership searches for civic nonprofits, including foundations, advocacy groups, public health and human service organizations, PreK-12 and higher education, arts and cultural institutions, and the public sector. She has a passion for serving clients focused on economic, racial, and social justice— especially those organizations supporting underrepresented populations. She also specializes in recruitments for Jewish organizations. A native of Toronto, Canada, Rebecca joined Isaacson, Miller in 2004. Her search work reflects her keen interest in organizational development. She has spent her entire career working in and with local, national, and international nonprofits from all angles: as director, manager, fundraiser, vendor, consultant, community organizer, board member, and volunteer. Her previous roles include researcher at the Center for Gender in Organizations and director of GesherCity Boston, a networking and resource program funded by Combined Jewish Philanthropies. Rebecca has worked for the Share Group Inc., a professional service firm providing services to nonprofits and socially responsible organizations and earlier in her career she was engaged in electoral politics as well as many grassroots efforts. Rebecca's clients appreciate her dedication, enthusiasm, strategic instincts, and ability to build diverse candidate pools and think creatively about nontraditional candidates and models. They also laud her experience finding successors after long-term leadership tenures as well as helping navigate leadership changes during mergers, acquisitions or other organizational disruptions.
