Gordon is a director leading the Commercial & Digital business. Gordon’s main areas of focus on Retail Banking, Digital, Fintech, Payments and Corporate / Commercial / Transaction Banking. These include global banks, scaling leadership teams in startups and building leadership capability in private equity portfolio companies. Gordon delivers mandates in the UK, EMEA and the US. He also focuses on delivering CEO mandates for Leathwaite’s clients. Gordon also runs the Africa practice for Leathwaite where he has successfully hired at CEO, country and functional levels. Gordon also runs the Global Fintech & Payments client sector for Leathwaite

Gordon joined Leathwaite in 2012. Prior to this, he was a director in the financial services practice of Hoggett Bowers. Here he was recruited as Head of Financial Services to focus on retail banking, consumer and business payments and all that is associated with them. Much of his experience comes from working with banks and payments companies and as part of a group that owned international resourcing companies leveraged his experience of working in smaller more specialist practices to that which has a greater capability across multiple sectors. Experience includes CEO, CMO, CRO, CFO, COO and functional and specialist hires beneath.

Prior to this Gordon was a managing consultant in a boutique firm focusing on retail financial services where he executed work in Russia, Africa, Europe and the UK.
