Anthony (Tony) Papa is Managing Partner for the Automotive and Industrial Practices in North America at NGS Global. He is based in Detroit. As a former CHRO, Mr. Papa has led the executive talent attraction and development function through which he has recruited hundreds of executives across all functional areas including: operations, supply chain, finance, IT, commercial, engineering, HR and C-Suite. Notably, Papa has built diverse and dispersed leadership teams for new startups, acquisitions and as well for multi-billion dollar organizations. Prior to his career in executive search, Mr. Papa had a 30-year track record of success in human resources and operations leadership positions with global Fortune 500 automotive/industrial manufacturing companies. He served most recently as Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer at Federal-Mogul Motorparts, where he supported an employee base of 16,500 across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. Earlier in his career, Mr. Papa held senior global HR leadership positions at Meridian Lightweight Technologies and the Gates Corporation. In addition to leading the human capital function, Mr. Papa also held senior leadership responsibilities for World Class Manufacturing - Operational Excellence, as well as Total Quality Management. He has held executive positions in the US, Canada, as well as Europe, and helped lead market expansion initiatives in virtually every region of the world. Mr. Papa holds a BA in Political Science and a BA in Business/Public Administration from the University of Windsor. He also holds certifications in human resources and organizational development. Mr. Papa has been featured in multiple publications, including HR Professional Now and Meet the Influencers. He has served on economic advisory boards and is a frequent guest lecturer and panelist at colleges and universities in greater Detroit, Michigan.
