Hal is a Director at Stonehaven within the Financial Officers Practice which appoints Finance Directors and CFOs across all sectors in a range of businesses, both publicly listed and private equity backed. Hal has over 15 years’ experience within executive search, with a focus on financial management, and has a network which spans the UK and mainland Europe. He has also worked closely with a number of firms to identify and develop their CFOs of the future. Hal is passionate about the evolving landscape within which today’s finance leaders inhabit. He has worked across the finance function, leading searches for Group Financial Controllers and Heads of Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit and Investor Relations, along with main board CFO and Audit Chair appointments. He joined Stonehaven in 2020 after five years with Odgers Berndtson, firstly within their Mid-Market business, Berwick Partners, before joining the Housing Practice as a Principal Consultant where he was responsible for CFO appointments across the UK housing and housebuilding market. His early career was spent with a boutique search firm leading on senior finance appointments across Private Equity. Hal is a graduate of the University of Bristol.
