James Aspromonti is a partner in the Firm’s Assurance Services group and the New York regional leader of its Food & Beverage Services group and its Manufacturing & Distribution group. He is responsible for directing the accounting and auditing activities for Marcum professionals servicing these industries. Mr. Aspromonti has developed a specific expertise providing business consulting and tax planning services for private, closely-held businesses with multi-state and international locations, with a focus on food & beverage companies and manufacturers. He has an in-depth background helping companies improve their accounting efficiencies. Mr. Aspromonti is often engaged by clients to review internal controls and procedures and recommend changes to their accounting systems. His extensive experience also includes working with publicly-traded and closely-held companies through the successful completion of initial public offerings, including reverse mergers. With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Aspromonti serves as a mentor for a number of the Firm’s managers. Earlier in his career, Mr. Aspromonti worked at a regional accounting and consulting firm, where he managed the auditing and accounting matters for one of the country’s largest maritime companies.
