Lisa Nelson

Lisa Nelson has dedicated her entire work experience to fostering her passion for restaurants and the hospitality industry. Lisa specializes in recruitment, human resources and management learning and development. She has spent the last nineteen years overseeing recruitment and managing continuous education and training at J. Alexander’s Holdings (formerly publicly held 47-unit restaurant group). As Vice President with J. Alexander’s, Lisa oversaw recruiting efforts for operations and corporate hiring, including positions in construction, human resources, information technology, real estate, social media, accounting, and administration.

Lisa is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Hospitality Tourism Management and holds a SHRM specialty credential in Talent Acquisition. She frequently visits hospitality and culinary programs nationwide as a guest lecturer.

She resides in Nashville, TN with her husband and 3 boys. Her passion for food and hospitality extends to her personal life as well, spending most of her free time cooking and entertaining. Otherwise, you can find Lisa outdoors, hiking, camping and traveling.
