Dave Cotter joins M&A Executive Search as the Sr. Managing Director – Executive Search with over 14 years of recruiting experience. Dave began his recruiting career at Lab Support/On Assignment where he built a reputation for identifying and connecting with top commercial talent throughout the nation. He then moved on to Korn Ferry and most recently to BrainWorks where his focus centered on becoming a leader in the Industrial Chemicals & Adhesives search space. While at Korn Ferry, and throughout his career, he achieved multiple promotions for his ability to partner deeply with clients and deliver exceptional talent. Dave has been recognized for his commitment to his clients and his ability to drive valuable and collaborative relationships with his constituency. His clients include development stage private equity backed, mid-cap, and publicly traded blue-chip companies. Over his career he has successfully completed over 500 engagements for a wide range of companies at various stages, across many different functions including President/General Manager, Sales Transformations and Leadership, Marketing Leadership, Corporate/National Accounts, Business Development and Corporate Strategy, along with others. Dave is on the Board of Directors for a non-profit company called ReelCovery, the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and is extremely active in helping members of his community. Dave resides just outside of Minneapolis, MN and has his Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Biology from Bemidji State University. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking, and spending time with family and friends in the great outdoors.
