Masakazu (Max) Tsumuraya has over 25 years of experience in executive search in Japan. He has worked for Exec Avenue Japan for over ten years and is one of the few recruitment consultants in Japan. Max recruits senior executives and executive committee members for technology-intensive companies, particularly in the information technology, telecommunications, networking, and semiconductor sectors. Before going independent in 1999, he worked with Korn/Ferry International-Japan as a vice president for eight years and with Booz, Allen & Hamilton – Japan, Inc. for six years. He began his career as a satellite engineer for Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. Max holds a Master of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University in the United States and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tokyo (requirements fulfilled for his Ph.D., except for his dissertation). Max was also an astronaut candidate in Japan's space program, a Rotary International Graduate Scholar, and Treasurer/Secretary of the Princeton Club of Japan.
