Fergus Kiel is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Sydney office and country leader of the CEO & Board of Directors Practice in Australia. He has placed chairpersons and non-executive directors in many sectors in ASX100 companies.

He leads the Financial Officers Practice in Australia and New Zealand and has 20 years of executive search experience across all areas of financial services. Fergus previously served as managing partner, Australia and New Zealand, as a member of the firm’s global Operating Committee, and as managing partner, global Financial Services Practice for the Asia Pacific region.

Fergus brings strong business experience to his work, having served in senior management roles with a merchant bank, an Australia-wide property group and in a financial services “workout” team. He started his career with Price Waterhouse. Before entering the executive search profession, was finance director for the Asia Pacific region of a global food group. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
