An engineer by trade before jumping into executive search, Nick Wackel is a Principal with Bauer Harris and is based out of Houston, TX. He graduated from the University of Alabama with an Aerospace Engineering degree and went to work in the Oil and Gas industry as a Project Manager for National Oilwell Varco, managing international teams delivering engineered-to-order offshore equipment with a priority on customer satisfaction. Nick has terrific people skills and in 2019 had an epiphany – he realized the engineering field wasn’t going to fully utilize those skills and decided to move into executive search. We are happy he did! It’s a rare find to have someone with the organizational tools of an engineer combined with the people skills of a top-tiered search professional. We rely on Nick for his research and database expertise, sourcing and recruiting abilities and anything uber technical.
