John Karas, Director of Finance and Accounting Search Division at StevenDouglas, is based out of the Tampa office, servicing Central and North Florida. John began his career in the recruiting industry in 2000, with a focus on Permanent Search since 2012. Clients and candidates appreciate John’s devotion, intuitiveness, and vast knowledge of the current market trends within the Finance and Accounting industry. He takes pride in developing strong relationships, which allows him to successfully deliver quality individuals within the client’s specific requests. Prior to joining StevenDouglas, John worked for one of the largest staffing and consulting firms in the country and was a major part of building-out the Search Practice in the Tampa market. John steadily exceeded his recruiting goals throughout his career and acquired a range of skills that make him a premier advisor and consultant to both clients and candidates. He is passionate about helping others, and is known for building long-term relationships, creating the expansive network he taps into today. John is originally from a small suburb outside of Chicago but moved to the Tampa market over 20 years ago. He earned his B.S. in Finance from The University of South Florida.
