Chris Purcell is President and Executive Managing Partner and leads the Global Retained Search Practice of Purcell International Group. Chris joined the firm in June of 1999 after graduating from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. He started in the Los Angeles office as a part of the firm’s Supply Chain Search Practice and eventually opened Purcell’s first office in San Diego, which later became the firm’s headquarters after years of continued expansive growth. In this role, Chris is responsible for leading a team of over 40 Senior Partners, Partners, Account Executives, Researchers and Support staff while also taking a hands-on approach in the implementation of the firm’s search practice strategies for client development, experience & retention, talent management, as well as candidate recruitment and experience. ​​Chris is responsible for leading large scale Retained Search Projects, Process Design, Organizational Transformation, Change Management and Diversity/Inclusion Initiatives for Fortune & Private Equity clients, as well as Small and Mid-cap organizations. Chris has a successful track record leading Officer, Vice President, and Director level searches in Supply Chain Management and Planning, Manufacturing/Plant Leadership, Industry 4.0, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, Network Design and Transformation, Distribution, Logistics, EH&S, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Commodity Management. Other functional areas of focus and expertise include General Management, Sales/Commercial Leadership, Business Development, Strategy, R&D, Human Resources, Real Estate, Construction and Facilities.
