John is an experienced C-Level executive who has held several senior human resources roles in technology, consumer, and private-equity businesses. John applies his cross-functional leadership experience in his search practice working broadly across industries, functions, and geographies. Clients enjoy John’s ability to quickly identify high potential leaders who can immediately add value to a business and thrive in their unique culture. The practice of developing leaders within organizations and planning organizational succession has also been a focus of John’s for the last 20 years. John enjoys leading organizational change and benchmarking efforts. Notably, while working as the CHRO of a private equity fund, John was instrumental in successfully placing more than 250 entrepreneurial senior executives within portfolio businesses that needed dramatic change and turnaround. In his formative career, John was an infantry officer in the US Army with worldwide assignments in tactical units, senior staff assignments with the British Army, and two tours of duty on the staff and faculty at West Point. Outside of work, John remains active in several organizations that advance support for the Armed Forces and U.S. National Security. He is also an avid outdoorsman and can often be found in the gardens, trails, streams, and fields of play in southern Vermont.
