Jan combines a Master’s Degree in Applied Economic Sciences (UFSIA Antwerp University) with over 20 years experience in Executive Search and Human Resources Consultancy. He started out at Schelstraete & Desmedt Executive Search, where he became Client Manager. In that function, he supported his clients in attracting and assessing key employees by means of Executive Search and management assessment assignments. After 13 years he joined MenT Associates, where he managed the Ghent office for 3 years as Branch Manager. He specialised further in Executive Search and management audits, and supported clients with the introduction of competence management. He has often acted as a guest lecturer and trainer in topics such as competence management, interview and selection techniques and general HR management themes. He has sat on various jury panels for top positions in the public sector. In 2011 he joined Altior Executive Search where he has been a Partner since 2012. Jan’s main sector expertise is in industry, FMCG and the non-profit sector. He has completed numerous assignments on C-level as well as searches for specialist roles.
