Biography
Before his latest role as a Headhunter, Pekka gained over nine years of experience in the management teams of the Finnish branches of three international companies. In addition to this, Pekka has been a team leader for several years. He has had P&L responsibilities for several business units, recruited key personnel, participated in strategy work, as well as in merger preparations and implementation. On several occasions, Pekka has managed change in different organisations, delivering motivating human resource leadership.
Before the current position as a headhunter, Pekka has worked as a Branch Manager in the staffing and recruiting business. During 2014-17 Pekka, as a Sales Director, was participating in growing a privately owned Finnish healthcare business. He had P&L responsibility, while leading his team of health care professionals, for offering medical services to public as well as private nursing homes, municipalities and private persons. Pekka has also focused on B2B selling of a large service portfolio to various industries. As a business unit leader, Pekka has participated and managed planning and implementation of sales&marketing activities of his teams. In particular, he has been interested in innovating and designing value-added services around the core products. As a Manager/Director in the Pharmaceutical Industry, he has launched and managed several international drug brands in Finland.
Through his experience, Pekka has gained insight on how vital continuous development is to organisations. For example, he has been involved in an international certification process. He had a panoramic position in the steering group, but also led one of the development teams. Pekka has also been involved in a CRM system development and its piloting, as well as in a number of other international and domestic project teams.
