With deep expertise in the energy and financial services industries, Mr. Tyler's background enables him to provide his clients strategic executive recruitment and talent management guidance.

Mr. Tyler has nearly two decades of experience in the financial services sector, serving as a member of the Board of Directors and a Senior Officer of a publicly-traded investment management firm until February 2004. Prior to this, he spent more than 15 years in the investment banking business, most recently based in Calgary as Managing Director and Co-Head of the Canadian Energy & Power practice of Merrill Lynch. Mr. Tyler also has a background in Engineering, having worked for several years in this capacity for Chevron.

He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Alberta Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service Foundation and a Past Chair of the Executive Committee of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Calgary Chapter.

Mr. Tyler holds a Master's in Business Administration Degree (with Honors) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor's Degree (with Distinction) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
