After his business education, Arjen studied Theology at the Free University in Amsterdam and followed the Coaching & Counseling course at the TA-Academy in 2020/2021. He has been following the MSc Executive Coaching (AMEC) through Ashridge Executive Education (part of Hult International Business School) since 2021. He founded the HC Food & Agri label in 2021 and the HC Innovation & Tech label in 2022. He put together an enthusiastic and driven team for both labels. Arjen has held various commercial positions in the automotive and non-profit sector. In doing so, he proved to be well able to gauge both expressed and unexpressed needs and his role as a sparring partner is appreciated. Arjen is hands-on and enjoys concretizing abstract themes into a goal-oriented approach, For example, he developed change processes to enable employees to work together in a more targeted and integrated way. Motivation and giving meaning always have his special attention. Arjen proves that the archetypes of merchant and pastor do not always have to be played off against each other by bringing them together in his person. He is result- and solution-oriented, but at the same time has an eye for vulnerability and ethics. In his work, Arjen not only likes to look back to understand the current situation, but he also likes to challenge people to take the next step forward based on that understanding. He knows how to enthuse people and get them moving. Within Hoek Consultants he is therefore also involved in Executive Search, Interim Management, Executive Coaching, Outplacement and Leadership Development.
