Kelly Brooks is dedicated to connecting talented professionals with organizations where they can drive impactful change. With a wealth of experience in higher education administration, talent acquisition, and organizational development, Kelly has built a reputation for understanding the nuanced needs of institutions and aligning those with the strengths of the candidates he places. His passion lies in advancing institutional goals through strategic leadership, executive searches, and mentorship, particularly in the education and athletics sectors. Kelly’s expertise extends to project management, crisis management, and client relations. He excels in identifying the specific needs of organizations and ensuring that candidates not only meet the qualifications but are positioned to thrive in the broader context of the role. His ability to build relationships, mentor talent, and cultivate partnerships has made him a trusted advisor to clients across universities, corporations, and athletic organizations. Previously, Kelly served as senior consultant at Renaissance Search & Consulting, where he led executive searches for institutions such as Vanderbilt University and Long Beach State University, as well as companies like Berkshire and Tenax Aerospace. His work focused on talent acquisition, and career development, while also facilitating networking opportunities for hundreds of professionals. As the managing partner of The Brooks Element, Kelly provided strategic consulting to higher education institutions, associations, and businesses. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Alcorn State University, where he teaches sport management and athletic administration to graduate students. He also serves as an Operations Consultant/COO for the HBCU Athletics Conference (HBCUAC). Before his consulting career, Kelly held several leadership roles, including director of academic and membership affairs at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and associate commissioner at the Southwestern Athletic Conference. He has guided student-athletes and administrators through NCAA compliance and eligibility, while helping institutions design programs that support the success of their student-athletes.
