Lawrence Scheinthal is a Partner in the Firm's Accounting and Tax departments and member of its Cost Segregation group. Using a team approach, along with personal, hands-on attention, he has helped numerous clients succeed and achieve their business goals. His in-depth background with business planning and management has been the driving force behind the further development of the Firm's services for small and closely-held businesses. Mr. Scheinthal's clients include a number of the region's largest, independently- and privately-owned companies in their respective industries. He provides financial statements and tax and strategic planning services for a major New York shipping company and a leading Long Island furniture distributor and he successfully guided New Jersey's largest, industrial hardware distribution company through several acquisitions. Mr. Scheinthal collaborated with the Firm's computer consulting division to develop, install and manage custom-designed software for clients to help them manage their businesses better, including the development of an internal payroll processing system. In addition, Mr. Scheinthal has extensive experience with financial and estate planning, investments and asset management. He provides investment counseling though Marcum Financial Services, LLC, part of the Marcum Group. Mr. Scheinthal has more than 20 years experience. He joined Marcum in 1992 when he merged his practice with the Firm.
