Tobias Reichert is an expert in restructuring, reorganization, and performance improvement and assurance in the areas of procurement and supply chain. His experience ranges from small and medium-sized enterprises to global corporations with revenues exceeding €3,000 million. Mr. Reichert has worked very successfully as a purchasing and operations manager for leading companies in the hydraulics and pump industry, among others. His work encompassed both German and international locations, with independent purchasing volumes of up to €85 million. The focus was on supplier (risk) management and ensuring supply and thus reducing production downtimes, avoiding penalty payments, and increasing customer satisfaction. The procurement markets extend far beyond Germany and Central Europe and include Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and Turkey, as well as China and India. Through this proactive supplier management, a strategic focus, and the automation and digitalization of purchasing, processes have been demonstrably streamlined and simplified, making them more efficient and secure. This helped ensure supply reliability with over 90% during the 2008 banking crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, among other things. Stable SOTDs of over 95% were achieved in normal market conditions. Another focus is on team building and cross-departmental collaboration. New approaches to collaboration between purchasing, design, quality assurance, and production have enabled the implementation of new processes that have significantly shortened project lead times, which in turn has contributed to significant cost savings during project implementation and increased customer satisfaction.
