Biography
Gerald is fascinated by the development of future-oriented and sustainable leadership at the intersection of private and public. As a partner within Holtrop Ravesloot, he is responsible for the healthcare, education, NGOs and associations sectors. Sectors where directors and administrators can and want to connect with the social purpose of organizations. He also focuses on the intersection of public and private. The interweaving of society is increasing and opportunities and challenges arise where public and private meet. From Holtrop Ravesloot, Gerald is responsible for the developments at this interface, especially when it comes to connecting healthcare and education with PE/VC investors, entrepreneurship, commerce and innovation. Gerald himself is socially active as chairman of the board of SOOZ, a welfare organization in Amsterdam and as a partner of the Sustainable Healthcare Challenge (SHC). The SHC is an innovation competition, run by students, that gives us the opportunity to be inspired and to keep abreast of innovations in healthcare (social innovation as well as MedTech, wearables, apps, etc.). Internationally, Gerald is a member of the core team of the Life Sciences and Healthcare Practice Group of IIC Partners as well as of the Education, Not for Profit and Government Practice Group. After a short period as a researcher at the University of Groningen, Gerald started working as a research consultant at Holtrop Ravesloot in 2009. In 2012, he made the step to become a consultant. He has been a partner/shareholder since January 2018. Gerald studied business administration (human resource management) and philosophy in Groningen. Gerald is married to Lisanne and proud father of Madelief and Arthur. In his spare time he enjoys walking and cycling.
