Biography
Berkley Burke is a Senior Associate at Isaacson, Miller, with particular focus on searches in our higher education and PreK-12 practices. She joined the firm in 2019, and has worked on successful leadership searches for a variety of independent schools and nonprofit organizations, including Punahou School, Madison Country Day School, Ohio Wesleyan University, Lehigh University, Oberlin College & Conservatory, Central European University, and Olin College of Engineering. Berkley brings prior professional experience in higher education – both domestic and international – and K-12 education. Most recently, Berkley served as an Assistant Director of Admission at Georgetown University, traveling to over 20 U.S. states, India, and the Middle East in her recruitment efforts. She simultaneously directed a network of 6,000+ domestic and international alumni interviewers, and continues this work on a volunteer basis as an Alumni Admissions Chair for the Boston Metro region. In this capacity, she specifically liaises with Boston-area boarding schools, including Groton School and Middlesex School. Earlier in her career, Berkley taught fifth grade with Teach for America in New York City, simultaneously earning a Master of Arts in Teaching. She previously completed a year-long Fulbright Fellowship in Bogotá, Colombia through the U.S. Department of State, with an emphasis on English Language Learners. She holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English, summa cum laude, from Georgetown University. In her spare time, Berkley co-chairs the Boston Board of Rescuing Leftover Cuisine, a national non-profit dedicated to reducing hunger through the prevention of food waste.
