Jean-Philippe Demaël is the President of Progress Associés. A graduate of the École Polytechnique and the Corps des Mines, Jean-Philippe Demaël began his career in the civil service, in the DRIRE before becoming the Director of Cabinet of the Director General of Industry. He worked between 1998 and 2008 in the Arcelor Mittal Group, within Aperam, in particular holding the responsibilities of Managing Director of the Automotive Stainless Europe activity then CEO of Acesita (Aperam Brazil). Between 2008 and 2016 he was Chief Executive Officer then Chairman of the Management Board of Somfy. He is President and founder of Horizons Altitude, a strategy consulting firm, as well as of Double Mixte, a company specializing in the retraining of high-level athletes and their placement in companies.
