George Johnson is a Managing Partner at NGS Global and is based in Tokyo. He has spent over 20 years in executive search, with experience in London, Tokyo and other principal Asia-Pacific markets. Mr. Johnson is a key member of the Technology and Private Equity practices in Asia. His client portfolio includes foreign capital companies from Fortune 500, FTSE 250, CAC50 and Tokyo Stock exchanges, as well as leading Private Equity backed firms. Sector experience is across technology, life sciences and retail and consumer markets with a special focus on revenue generating positions. Mr. Johnson focuses on attracting transformational talent capable of driving market leading bottom line performance. The majority of Mr. Johnson’s work has focused on recruiting country and regional heads and their direct reports. He is passionate about understanding core business issues and unique regional and cultural nuances in order to advise clients on how to attract the very best in leadership. An entrepreneur at heart, prior to joining NGS Global, Mr. Johnson successfully established, grew and sold an Asia-Pacific business to a global, publicly listed search firm. He led the Technology and Equity practices enjoying P&L responsibilities across the region. Mr. Johnson is originally from London and graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University with a B.A. (M.A) in Modern History. Outside of the office, George enjoys golfing and is a struggling triathlete.
