Abbed first joined Lancor in 2017, playing a significant role in expanding the firm’s presence in the Middle East. He returned in 2024 after spending two and a half years in Saudi Arabia, where he was instrumental in transforming senior talent at one of the region's largest real estate and retail conglomerates.

Before Lancor, Abbed was a Partner at several global executive search firms, leading numerous C-suite searches across various sectors. At KPMG Lower Gulf, he focused on attracting top talent to drive the transformation of large family businesses. He moved to the UAE in 2003 as a founding member of RP International Middle East, playing a key role in placing the executive teams of nine emerging regional telecommunication companies. He began his career in London, specializing in senior placements in the telecom sector.

Abbed holds a BEng Hons in Electronics and Broadcasting Engineering and an MPhil in AI from the University of Brighton, as well as an MSc in Telecommunications from the University of Sussex. He is fluent in Arabic and English.
