Joan Gagan

oan Gagan, Managing Director, Gilbert Tweed International, has managed searches across multiple industries and is an accomplished generalist. Currently, Joan is the leader of the Industrial Practice and has supported clients across a range of segments, businesses and functions within that sector. She also is a member of the Transportation Practice. Additional industry experience includes consumer, life sciences, renewables, infrastructure, energy, technology and not-for-profit. She has completed placements at C-Level, direct reports to C-Level as well as Vice President, Director and Manager.

Joan finds creative solutions for the executive selection process, and she has the vision and experience to think beyond existing models and to execute innovative ideas in hiring. She is focused on the quality of the process and the speed of execution.

Joan delivers talented candidates who outperform in their current position and build bench strength for the future success of the client and candidate. Joan is strategic, innovative, agile and tenacious.

Joan began her career in executive search as a Research Associate in the executive search practice of Peat, Marwick and Mitchell (now KPMG), worked for Haskell & Stern and Halbrecht Associates. After spending eight years with Gilbert Tweed International, she ran her own search business for eleven years and rejoined GTI in 2009.

She received her B.A. in Psychology from the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
