Prior to forming Hardesty, Karl was the Western Region Managing Partner with Tatum, the first national CFO firm with revenues of $190 million. Hardesty founded the firm’s Western Region practice in 1999 and guided it to become the largest region within the firm. Karl also served on Tatum’s Management Committee and innovated many practices that became standard operating procedure for Tatum. Karl also served as the CFO of a $300mm publicly traded company and a $100mm venture-backed company, closing over 20 acquisitions and raising over $300 million in capital. Karl spent 18 years in public accounting as a CPA and auditor, completing his public accounting career as a partner with Ernst & Young.
