Philip Williams is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Hong Kong office and a member of the Financial Services Practice. He specializes in senior leadership roles and advisory work across traditional and alternative asset managers.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Philip was a partner at another leading international search firm where he led their investment management coverage across APAC. Based in Hong Kong, Philip focused on senior level searches across portfolio management, investment research as well as sales, marketing, and client relationship management. In addition, Philip was responsible for general management and functional appointments.

Earlier in his career, Philip spent more than a decade with another leading international search firm that he initially joined in London before relocating to Hong Kong in 2009. During this time, he covered traditional and alternative asset managers, private banks, and wealth management firms in both EMEA and APAC.

Philip has lived and worked in Hong Kong for more than 20 years.
