Passionate for advancing Indigenous communities nationwide, Katy was an elected Council Member for Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc for nine years, responsible for various portfolios including Human Resources, Finance, Lands, Leasing and Taxation, and Economic Development. Before becoming an executive-recruitment professional, Katy was the Deputy Chair for the First Nations Finance Authority. She holds a Human Resource Management Certification from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and an MBA in Indigenous Business Leadership from Simon Fraser University.
