Jo mainly works on executive selection, board assessments and board recruitment. He has experience in most sectors and management levels in Norway, with a particular focus on finance, research and the seafood sector. His 25 years’ experience of recruitment processes have given him an excellent grasp of the clients’ value chains, and the way every individual in the organization can best be linked to it.​ ​ Working with resources from BI Norwegian Business School and partners in the US, Jo has developed Visindi’s board assessment model. He has assumed responsibility for Visindi’s international links and has held many posts within the organization. Jo has an analytical approach to his assignments, presenting clients with an overview of their opportunities for attracting the best people, and where they can potentially find them in parallel value chains.​ After several years at Ernst & Young, Jo established Skjelstad AS in 2002. This has since become one of Visindi’s holding companies. Jo started his career in the Centre Party’s parliamentary group and worked for three years on issues linked to the finance committee and the energy and industry committee.​
