Peter van Grinsven is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Amsterdam office and a member of the Industrial Practice. He leads the Energy Sector in the Netherlands, focusing on board-level assignments across a wide range of organizations, including private capital firms. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Peter worked at a Dutch boutique executive search firm, where he advised a wide range of companies in the energy transition and industrial markets, as well as private capital firms, on leadership succession within their portfolio companies. Leading both search and consulting assignments at the executive and non-executive level, focusing on growth, technology, innovation, and commerce. Peter has extensive leadership experience in the aviation industry and in management and investment scale-ups. He was a member of the leadership team at Royal Schiphol Group and the CEO of Europe’s largest investor in startups and scale-ups. Prior to this, he was managing partner at a management consultancy firm. Peter has extensive experience serving on the supervisory boards of several universities and family-owned companies, including Leiden University Fund. He has lived and worked in the Netherlands and Austria.
