My name is Bert-Jan de Visser, I am Operations Director at Van de Groep & Olsthoorn where I have been working since 2003. I spent my student days in Groningen, where I studied General Operational Technology at the HTS and then Technical Business Sciences at the Rijksuniversiteit. After graduating, I started working at the energy and waste company Essent. A company in a fascinating sector where I was involved in setting up a new business unit. During this period, I came to the conclusion that I needed a setting with more dynamism and entrepreneurship. This, combined with my interest in people's motivations and knowledge of business processes, ensured that I joined Van de Groep & Olsthoorn, where I developed my passion for the profession and later became a partner. Mediating the right person in the right place, so that both the client and the candidate experience valuable growth, is really rewarding work and gives me a lot of satisfaction. Every assignment is a journey of discovery in itself, you get to know new people and companies and experience that every organization has its own identity and culture. Achieving the final result with our team and where all parties look back on a great process with a good feeling, that is what I do it for! Together with my partner José and our two children Timo (2006) and Bastian (2009) I live in a fantastic place on the water in Naarden. I was born in Zeeland and being active in and on water is instilled in me from an early age. I am a fanatic swimmer and practice various forms of water sports such as windsurfing, sailing and water skiing.
