Michel began his thirty year career in education as a preschool teacher. Prior to joining Spelman Johnson, served as the dean of enrollment management at Erikson Institute, the vice president for enrollment management and student affairs at San Francisco Art Institute, and the director of international affairs at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
