Biography
John Persch is an IfUS-certified restructuring and turnaround consultant with 13 years of experience in the transformation and reorganization of primarily medium-sized and international companies. As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, he predominantly rescues situations in his clients that, if the company continues to act unchanged, would result in the payment of a contractual penalty, margin-destroying expedition costs, or the loss of a customer relationship.
The proven expert in end-to-end value streams addresses the root causes of lateness, slowness, inconvenience, lack of resources, incomplete deliveries, or excessive costs at their source. His credo is that ideal behavior produces ideal results. This behavior is sustainably implemented in all functions, from R&D to sales, the supply chain (including production) to after-sales service, using the established tools of Toyota-inspired change management. He transforms works councils into partners in the transformation.
Before his freelance work, Mr. Persch was a member of the management team of a North German mechanical and plant engineering company. At the same time, he was the only European member of the Global Change Management Committee of a leading US fluid media company listed on the S&P 500. His effective process standardization program was rolled out across the company at 50 locations in 18 countries. He began his career in 1996 as a management consultant, working on challenging projects for well-known companies.
Mr. Persch has been working as an interim manager since 2017. Reducing working capital in the hundreds of millions of euros or rescuing projects with contractual penalties in the high double-digit millions are not unusual for him. He has repeatedly succeeded in increasing output by a factor of 2.5 without investing in new machinery or employees. When a client faces supply chain problems that threaten their existence, Mr. Persch often rolls up his sleeves on-site at local contract manufacturers and defines local improvement measures.
In his private life, he enjoys spending time with his family. Their shared hobbies include SUPing on the waters of northern Germany and the Netherlands and preparing unusual meals with family and friends.
At the beginning of 2022, his specialist book “Corporate Goal Independence – Management in Disruptive Times” was published by Verlag Vahlen.
Since December 2021, Mr. Persch has been an Associate Partner at F&P Executive Solutions AG, where he strengthens various industry and competency groups. In July 2022, John Persch became a Partner at F&P Executive Solutions.
