James Walker is a Partner at H&P, based out of the London Office, spearheading Quantitative Finance across Capital Markets. He has been a trusted advisor to Investment Banks, Broker-Dealers, Hedge Funds and Asset Managers globally. Starting his career in Hong Kong he has developed robust relationships across APAC, between there and Singapore over a period of eight years before moving to the England further developing his network across the UK, EU and into North America working on a broad but focused range of strategic projects. He has notable experience within Systematic Trading & Quantitative Development across a range of asset classes in both traditional finance and digital assets. Prior to focusing on search and selection within quant finance, James trained as an engineer between London & Hong Kong and began options trading in 2015 within Equities & Commodities, which is where he found his passion for the industry, building long-standing relationships with clients and delivering top tier talent into the capital markets space. Outside of work James is an avid runner and saxophonist.
