Marshena has a strong understanding of the needs and motivations of the professionals and organizations that she engages. She started her career in biotechnology research prior to pivoting to leverage her technical knowledge toward a recruiting career. Marshena’s focus is on relationships and developing a strong understanding of the nuances of each role and the culture of each organization. She is committed to exceeding the expectations of clients and candidates and provides transparent communications to ensure high engagement by all parties. Prior to joining Chasm Partners, Marshena most recently spearheaded a RPO engagement at Foundation Medicine Inc and had been a top Life Sciences recruiters at Apex Systems (previously On Assignment Lab Support) where she was recognized eight times as a President’s Club honoree. Before embarking on her recruiting career, Marshena spent five years at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals supporting Obesity and Diabetes research, where she was named in five publications. Marshena graduated from Stony Brook University where she received a B.S. in Biology. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, daughter and Shih Tzu.
