Biography
Kai Hammerich leads Spencer Stuart’s Copenhagen office and is a member of the CEO, Boards and Technology, Media & Telecommunications practices based in the firm’s Copenhagen office. He is a trusted advisor to top corporate leaders on their more pressing challenges, including executive search, CEO succession and on-boarding, boards and c-suite leadership, embracing diversity to improve performance, and cultural transformation. With deep cross-industry leadership and technology experience and a human-centric approach to his work with large global (Fortune 1000), fast-growth and private equity–owned companies, Kai has been recognized by Businessweek as one of the Most Influential Headhunters globally. Kai attended Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University, where he earned an M.B.A. with distinction; and also gained a MSc. in business economics from Aarhus University. Kai is the co-author of "Fish Can't See Water" (Wiley, 2013), with the communications expert and social theorist Richard D. Lewis. The book, about the influence of national culture on organizational culture, won the Management Book of the Year for Denmark in 2013.
