Robert Zinn is a Partner and leader of the Partner Practice Group for our Boston office. Though he has worked with attorneys at all levels, his primary focus for the last 15 years has been providing professional representation for individual partners and groups. Rob has an impressive track record of successful partner placements at many top-tier regional, national and international law firms in a variety of practice areas, including corporate, intellectual property, litigation, real estate, tax, bankruptcy, trusts & estates and white collar litigation. He has also successfully placed attorneys leaving government service to move into law firm partnerships. Much of Rob's success is based on his in-depth knowledge of the legal marketplace as well as on the individual attention he pays to each candidate. Educating each candidate on market trends, firm cultures and personalities as well as developing business plans and preparing for interviews are all responsibilities, Rob incorporates into determining the best fit to advance an individual's career. Rob brings to his practice a sophisticated understanding of the issues faced by firms when evaluating potential lateral partners. His ability to meet the needs of the client is evidenced by the numerous law firm placements he has made over the last decade. His collaborative approach, coupled with his belief that the race is not always for the swift but for those who endure, continues to generate successful placements and long-term allegiances with candidates and firms. Rob, a native Kansan, is an avid outdoorsman, a diehard sports fan and a physical fitness enthusiast. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont, where he was the captain of the varsity basketball team. He has also coached basketball at both the high school and Division One levels. Rob relishes spending as much time as possible with his wife, Kate, and daughters, Emma and Olivia.
