Karsten has developed his extensive international business experience working in Europe, the Americas and Asia. He began his business career in the aviation industry, followed by different positions held within a Blue-Chip company in the global consumer goods business. As Global Head of Human Resources he, strategically and operationally was accountable for International Recruitment, Leadership Effectiveness and Organizational Development. Through these functions, he was responsible for the placement of various international management positions. As General Manager Asia in the Medical Device industry he gained a deep insight into the different markets in that region. With this knowledge he also helped other businesses to find the right strategy and leadership teams to successfully start and enhance their appearances in Asia/Pacific. As an entrepreneur he founded his own busines in real estate development in south-east Asia, gaining a depth of knowledge on establishing and expanding business within a challenging cultural environment. In Stanton Chase Karsten is specialized in Life Science, Healthcare and Financial Services. He also is a strategic adviser to organizations planning to expand to the Asia/Pacific region. Karsten holds a master´s in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the ESCP-EAP Business School in Paris. He communicates fluent in German, English and French. In his spare time Karsten is into Fitness and enjoys hitting balls on the golf course. He also likes fine dining and a good glass of wine.
